Bio
I grew up in Brazil playing volleyball and instantly fell in love with the sport. I like the team dynamic and how it’s nice to have experienced players bring up other players who are still working on and learning about the game. I look forward to helping the younger players learn about the game while reminding them we are Christians first and everything else is secondary to that. I am married to Joe, my husband of 19 years and we live in Sacramento with our son Daniel, daughters Anabelle and Angel and a dog named Rose.
Coaching Background
I started playing volleyball as a young girl in Brazil. It is a very popular sport down there and our national teams are consistently among the highest rated in the world. Although I have not coached all that much, I feel I have knowledge from playing that I will be able to assist the younger players so they understand the game, how to hit properly, where to position themselves, etc.
Playing Background
- I played in junior high and high school in Brazil
What I love about coaching
I love teaching the players that God comes first and whether we have good or bad games, we should play with dignity and grace. Give glory to God for the ability to play and for meeting and encouraging other players to play to the best of their ability. Winning is great but losing teaches us where we need to improve and that there will be other days where we will be the winning team. Always play with dignity.
